Internships

Ready, Set, Lead

Internships are the experiential pathway to professional success. They provide opportunities to build the conceptual and practical skills that can only be acquired through hands-on learning. With the counsel of our dedicated Career Services team, students can map out the internship best suited to their policy interests and professional development, allowing them to turn their curiosity and passion into action.

The Master of Public Policy Internship

A 400-hour internship during the summer between the first and second year is a cornerstone of our Master of Public Policy degree. No matter the policy field or employment sector, this requirement will challenge students to put what they’ve learned into action. Financial aid may be available for students accepting unpaid internships with nonprofit organizations and government entities.

"During my internship with the State Department, I had the privilege of working with the most intelligent, thoughtful and passionate public servants. They taught me what it means to be a leader in times of uncertainty and instability, which has reinvigorated my desire to serve others."
