Anne Carter Mulligan joined Batten in January 2019 as Director of Undergraduate Admissions. She’s held multiple roles in higher education, most recently as Director of Strategic Initiatives in Enrollment Management at Longwood University, where she led projects designed to enrich the student experience and provide a seamless path from recruitment to graduation. Prior to her time at Longwood, Anne spent more than a decade at the University of Virginia’s Miller Center, beginning in 2006 as a research associate before ultimately becoming Director of Support Services and Corporate Secretary to its governing board. She is a 2012 recipient of the Leonard W. Sandridge Outstanding Contribution Award, the highest honor staff receive for their dedicated service to the University. An enthusiastic collector of degrees from Virginia institutions, Anne has a B.A. in English from Virginia Tech, an M.A. in Modern European History from George Mason University, and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the Education School at UVA.
